Locals benefit from cultural sector in Xi'an

In recent years, Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, has been focusing on the construction of cultural venues and facilities and the innovative development of cultural activities, promoting the high-quality development of the cultural sector.

There are currently 2,963 grassroots comprehensive cultural service centers in Xi'an.

The coverage rate of the city's public libraries and cultural centers has reached 100 percent, and all cultural centers, public libraries, art galleries and township comprehensive cultural stations in the city are open to the public for free.

Xi'an has accelerated the promotion of digital cultural projects, allowing citizens to enjoy rich cultural resources through the internet platform.

In the Spring Festival of 2022, Xi'an launched a series of cloud cultural activities so that citizens could enjoy cultural tourism services without leaving their homes.

At the beginning of this year, the Xi'an municipal administration of culture and tourism designated promoting the prosperity and development of cultural undertakings as one of its key tasks in 2022.

Throughout the year, 1,000 cultural performances will be organized.
