Among the travelers who have been marveled by it is Yang Liuyi, an artist who specializes in portraying natural landscapes and city scenes.
Yang's one-man exhibition now on at China Charity Art Gallery in Beijing shows dozens of drawings inspired by Xianhua Mountain and the landscapes of Pujiang. The area is seeing a booming agriculture and visits by practitioners of Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism.
"Pujiang and Xianhua are heavenly gifts to people and representations of the Chinese philosophy of the unity of men and heaven," Yang said. His strokes depict the history, as well as natural and city views to demonstrate how Pujiang has preserved its culture and surroundings.
