Two bases in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, were recently listed among the first batch of Innovation China innovation bases by the China Association for Science and Technology.
These innovation bases will cooperate with CAST in collaborative innovation between enterprises, universities and institutes and helping find practical applications for research achievements.
The Wuxi IoT Innovation Promotion Center, one of the two certified innovation bases in Wuxi, plans to by 2024 produce at least six original achievements, satisfy at least six technological demands from key industries, organize more than 20 activities, and serve about 15,000 enterprises.
In August this year, the advanced perception industry conference organized by the center secured a group of enterprise-university-institute projects such as the construction of an advanced perception industry talent cultivation base.
Another certified Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Innovation Base supports innovation and entrepreneurship and optimizes industrial ecology by hosting competitions and building maker spaces.
The venture contest organized by the base has screened out nearly 200 outstanding projects, while the maker space Jiangsu (Yixing) Institute of Environmental Industry, or Dark Horse Camp, has incubated many high-quality enterprises, including Eco-san, a manufacturer of bio-toilets.
