The Nanning-Chongzuo section of the Nanning-Pingxiang Railway is expected to start operation by the end of November.

Construction on the 119.29-kilometer section started in December 2018 and has a designed speed limit of 250 km per hour. Among the five stations along the route, three stations are newly built, namely the Wuxu Airport, Fusui South, and Chongzuo South stations.

Wuxu Airport Station is located on the first and second underground floors of the Nanning International Airport Comprehensive Transportation Hub. The hub also includes an intercity railway station and the airport's parking lots.

Upon operation, seamless transit will be available for passengers between Nanning Railway Station, Nanning East Railway Station, and Nanning Wuxu International Airport. It will shorten the travel time for people traveling from downtown Nanning to the airport to 17 minutes.

Its wall decoration applies Zhuang brocade elements and the shape of the round lighting settings in the center of the waiting hall originates from the bronze drum in Luoyue culture.

Fusui county of Chongzuo has long been reputed as the "hometown of dinosaurs" and the exterior structure of Fusui South Station is inspired by the Fusuisaurus. Creamy white was set as the main tone of the station, while diamond-shaped windows were installed on its façade.

Chongzuo South Station is located in the southeast area of downtown Chongzuo and is close to local higher education institutions like Guangxi City Vocational University and Guangxi Normal University for Nationalities, making it more convenient for students to travel.

The overall design of the station features elements of traditional Chongzuo culture, as well as uses black, white, and grey as the main tone.
