On Oct 29, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 401 new cases of confirmed infections (48 imported cases, 14 in Fujian province, 14 in Guangdong province, 5 in Beijing municipality, 3 in Liaoning province, 3 in Sichuan province, 2 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 2 in Jiangsu province, 2 in Yunnan province, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Shanghai municipality and 1 in Shandong province, including 5 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 2 in Guangdong province, 1 in Beijing municipality, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region and 1 in Fujian province; 353 indigenous cases, 83 in Guangdong province, 41 in Fujian province, 37 in Shanxi province, 32 in Sichuan province, 29 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 25 in Jiangsu province, 25 in Shaanxi province, 19 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 12 in Beijing municipality, 11 in Heilongjiang province, 11 in Chongqing municipality, 7 in Henan province, 5 in Hunan province, 4 in Yunnan province, 4 in Gansu province, 3 in Liaoning province, 3 in Shandong province and 2 in Qinghai province, including 46 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 23 in Fujian province, 6 in Shaanxi province, 4 in Jiangsu province, 4 in Gansu province, 3 in Sichuan province, 2 in Shanxi province, 2 in Chongqing municipality, 1 in Beijing municipality and 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region), no deaths, and no new cases of suspected infections.

On Oct 29, 215 patients were released from hospital after being cured (50 imported cases; 165 indigenous cases, 33 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 24 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 22 in Guangdong province, 17 in Beijing municipality, 17 in Shaanxi province, 12 in Shanxi province, 7 in Sichuan province, 5 in Jiangsu province, 5 in Chongqing municipality, 4 in Shandong province, 4 in Henan province, 3 in Hunan province, 3 in Yunnan province, 2 in Hubei province, 2 in Guizhou province, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Liaoning province, 1 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and 1 in Gansu province). 52,226 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases decreased by 1.

As of 24:00 on Oct 29, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 25,698 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 25,151 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 547 confirmed cases (including 1 case in serious condition) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Oct 29, the National Health Commission had received reports of 259,438 confirmed cases and 5,226 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 250,225 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 3,987 confirmed cases (including 19 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 7,653,873 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 537,567 were still under medical observation.

On Oct 29, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 1,704 new asymptomatic cases (138 imported cases; 1,566 indigenous cases, 248 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 195 in Guangdong province, 168 in Fujian province, 136 in Heilongjiang province, 103 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 96 in Hubei province, 91 in Qinghai province, 84 in Shandong province, 71 in Shanxi province, 56 in Hunan province, 52 in Yunnan province, 48 in Gansu province, 37 in Sichuan province, 36 in Shaanxi province, 34 in Hebei province, 26 in Henan province, 24 in Tianjin municipality, 12 in Jiangsu province, 12 in Chongqing municipality, 9 in Shanghai municipality, 6 in Anhui province, 6 in Ningxia Hui autonomous region, 4 in Liaoning province, 3 in Beijing municipality, 3 in Zhejiang province, 3 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 2 in Tibet autonomous region and 1 in Jiangxi province).

On Oct 29, 858 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (129 imported cases; 729 indigenous cases, 225 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 74 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 70 in Tibet autonomous region, 40 in Guangdong province, 34 in Hubei province, 30 in Sichuan province, 27 in Shaanxi province, 26 in Yunnan province, 25 in Shanxi province, 24 in Shanghai municipality, 22 in Henan province, 14 in Guizhou province, 13 in Anhui province, 13 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 11 in Chongqing municipality, 11 in Gansu province, 10 in Jilin province, 10 in Heilongjiang province, 10 in Shandong province, 9 in Jiangsu province, 8 in Hebei province, 7 in Tianjin municipality, 7 in Hunan province, 4 in Liaoning province, 3 in Ningxia Hui autonomous region, 1 in Zhejiang province and 1 in Qinghai province). 51 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 5 imported cases). As of 24:00 on Oct 29, 17,030 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 1,099 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Oct 29, 8,093,046 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 433,673 in Hong Kong (10,373 had died and 91,110 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 793 in Macao (6 had died and 787 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 7,658,580 in Taiwan (12,696 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
