Zhangjiajie pushes to develop micro-tourism

While adhering to regular prevention and control measures, Zhangjiajie City has focused on micro-tourism, which refers to short-distance travel in which people drive two or three hours to a nearby destination and spend two or three days, to enrich the supply of tourism products and promote the high-quality development of travel.

These days, as the autumn is deepening, in Zhangjiajie Wanfu Hot Spring Happy Valley, many tourists and citizens came with their children to experience the heart-pounding high-altitude grass skiing under the warm autumn sun, and enjoy themselves in the children's paradise.

Affected by the epidemic, Wanfu Hot Spring scenic spot has seen a decrease in the number of tourists and income, and the tourists are mainly local and surrounding citizens. In combination with the characteristics of current travel, Wanfu Hot Spring Scenic Spot launched the outdoor projects this November.

There are not only the projects suitable for the children, like kart racing, grass skiing, and roller coaster, but also the activities popular among young people, such as outdoor barbecue and camping.

After only one month of opening, the park has become a popular place in the local and surrounding areas and brought considerable income.

Micro tourism, like local tours, short trips around the city, and self-driving tours, has gradually become an important way to release the demand for leisure tourism.

Noticing the increase of cultural tourism, Zhangjiajie City released the list of the first projects of micro-tourism timely, including 4 tourist routes focusing on ecological agriculture, rural folk customs, traditional village sightseeing and wellness in the forest, and 4 micro-tourism sites for traditional village sightseeing, leisure agriculture experience, agricultural history, folk songs, and Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience Park.

After the release of the list of the first projects of micro-tourism, all relevant districts and counties, and product suppliers should follow up and support the construction of tourism products and related facilities to ensure the quality of the projects.
