The regional gross domestic product of East China's Fujian province from January to September reached 3.78 trillion yuan ($527.25 billion), an increase of 5.2 percent year-on-year, which was 2.2 percentage points higher than the national average growth rate.
During the same period, the added value of industries above designated size increased by 6.3 percent year-on-year, which was 2.4 percentage points higher than the national average growth rate.
The added value of the province's high-tech industry increased by 18.4 percent year-on-year, and those of the pharmaceutical manufacturing and electronic and communication equipment manufacturing industries increased by 29.3 percent and 31.1 percent year-on-year, respectively, in the first nine months.
In the first three quarters, Fujian's total import and export volume grew 9.2 percent year-on-year to 1.48 trillion yuan. Of which, its export volume surged 14.2 percent and the import volume increased by 2.3 percent.
During the same period, the per capita disposable income of residents in the province was 33,707 yuan, a nominal increase of 6.1 percent over the same period last year.
In the first nine months, the total retail sales of consumer goods in the province reached 1.56 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.1 percent. Of which, the province's catering sector's revenue increased by 3.3 percent year-on-year, an increase of 0.9 percentage points over that in the January-to-August period.
