On Oct 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 231 new cases of confirmed infections (38 imported cases, 16 in Fujian province, 5 in Shanghai municipality, 5 in Guangdong province, 3 in Beijing municipality, 3 in Jiangsu province, 2 in Sichuan province, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 1 in Zhejiang province and 1 in Shandong province, including 4 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 1 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Fujian province and 1 in Guangdong province; 193 indigenous cases, 31 in Fujian province, 30 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 16 in Shanxi province, 15 in Guangdong province, 13 in Hunan province, 13 in Chongqing municipality, 13 in Shaanxi province, 12 in Beijing municipality, 12 in Jiangsu province, 11 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 7 in Qinghai province, 5 in Henan province, 4 in Sichuan province, 3 in Anhui province, 3 in Shandong province, 2 in Tibet autonomous region, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Shanghai municipality and 1 in Zhejiang province, including 22 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 17 in Fujian province, 2 in Jiangsu province, 1 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Guangdong province and 1 in Sichuan province), no deaths, and no new cases of suspected infections.

On Oct 26, 270 patients were released from hospital after being cured (54 imported cases; 216 indigenous cases, 38 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 35 in Shanxi province, 31 in Guangdong province, 20 in Yunnan province, 16 in Beijing municipality, 15 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 14 in Shaanxi province, 10 in Chongqing municipality, 10 in Sichuan province, 8 in Henan province, 4 in Heilongjiang province, 4 in Jiangsu province, 3 in Shanghai municipality, 2 in Tianjin municipality, 2 in Liaoning province, 2 in Guizhou province, 1 in Zhejiang province and 1 in Hubei province). 59,231 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases decreased by 1.

As of 24:00 on Oct 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 25,549 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 24,987 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 562 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Oct 26, the National Health Commission had received reports of 258,398 confirmed cases and 5,226 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 249,506 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 3,666 confirmed cases (including 18 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 7,426,729 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 481,327 were still under medical observation.

On Oct 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 1,033 new asymptomatic cases (109 imported cases; 924 indigenous cases, 117 in Qinghai province, 114 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 92 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 84 in Guangdong province, 78 in Fujian province, 74 in Shandong province, 57 in Hunan province, 53 in Hubei province, 33 in Shaanxi province, 31 in Sichuan province, 28 in Shanxi province, 24 in Gansu province, 22 in Chongqing municipality, 20 in Henan province, 19 in Jiangsu province, 10 in Heilongjiang province, 10 in Yunnan province, 9 in Anhui province, 8 in Shanghai municipality, 8 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 7 in Hebei province, 6 in Tianjin municipality, 6 in Tibet autonomous region, 5 in Beijing municipality, 4 in Ningxia Hui autonomous region, 3 in Zhejiang province and 2 in Jiangxi province).

On Oct 26, 943 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (117 imported cases; 826 indigenous cases, 290 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 109 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 46 in Shanxi province, 39 in Hubei province, 36 in Yunnan province, 33 in Gansu province, 32 in Tianjin municipality, 31 in Shanghai municipality, 25 in Guangdong province, 25 in Shaanxi province, 20 in Shandong province, 17 in Jiangsu province, 16 in Chongqing municipality, 15 in Sichuan province, 13 in Guizhou province, 10 in Liaoning province, 10 in Anhui province, 10 in Henan province, 9 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 8 in Heilongjiang province, 8 in Hunan province, 7 in Hebei province, 6 in Jilin province, 5 in Tibet autonomous region, 3 in Ningxia Hui autonomous region, 1 in Beijing municipality, 1 in Zhejiang province and 1 in Jiangxi province). 26 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 4 imported cases). As of 24:00 on Oct 26, 15,557 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 1,082 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Oct 26, 7,988,098 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 431,421 in Hong Kong (10,350 had died and 90,420 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 793 in Macao (6 had died and 787 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 7,555,884 in Taiwan (12,479 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
