Hubei urged to advance 5G integrated applications

A provincial meeting on the promotion of a 5G workshop application scenario was held in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province on Oct 20.

The meeting was held to promote the widespread application of 5G technologies in industrial fields and accelerate the in-depth integration of digital economy and real economy.

Government officials from the Department of Economy and Information Technology of Hubei Province, as well as representatives on behalf of Wuhan, Xiangyang and Yichang cities, delivered keynote speeches.

The province was urged to enhance its 5G base station construction, lay out key projects, formulate targeted industrial policies, host more major conferences such as the China 5G+ Industrial Internet Conference, and boost cooperation among enterprises, government departments and mobile operators.
