On Oct 24, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 246 new cases of confirmed infections (41 imported cases, 13 in Fujian province, 12 in Guangdong province, 4 in Tianjin municipality, 4 in Sichuan province, 2 in Shanghai municipality, 1 in Beijing municipality, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 1 in Jiangsu province, 1 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Shandong province and 1 in Yunnan province, including 7 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 3 in Sichuan province, 2 in Fujian province, 1 in Zhejiang province and 1 in Guangdong province; 205 indigenous cases, 70 in Shanxi province, 33 in Guangdong province, 21 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 18 in Beijing municipality, 17 in Shaanxi province, 11 in Hunan province, 9 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 6 in Henan province, 4 in Sichuan province, 3 in Tianjin municipality, 3 in Zhejiang province, 2 in Anhui province, 2 in Yunnan province, 1 in Jiangsu province, 1 in Fujian province, 1 in Shandong province, 1 in Chongqing municipality, 1 in Guizhou province and 1 in Tibet autonomous region, including 12 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 3 in Zhejiang province, 2 in Shanxi province, 2 in Guangdong province, 2 in Sichuan province, 2 in Shaanxi province and 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region), no deaths, and no new cases of suspected infections.

On Oct 24, 376 patients were released from hospital after being cured (54 imported cases; 322 indigenous cases, 75 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 53 in Guangdong province, 32 in Shanxi province, 27 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 25 in Sichuan province, 17 in Chongqing municipality, 15 in Yunnan province, 14 in Liaoning province, 13 in Beijing municipality, 11 in Heilongjiang province, 8 in Shaanxi province, 7 in Zhejiang province, 7 in Guizhou province, 5 in Fujian province, 4 in Hunan province, 2 in Tianjin municipality, 2 in Shanghai municipality, 2 in Tibet autonomous region, 1 in Jiangsu province, 1 in Anhui province and 1 in Henan province). 56,475 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases increased by 3.

As of 24:00 on Oct 24, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 25,470 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 24,878 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 592 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Oct 24, the National Health Commission had received reports of 257,829 confirmed cases and 5,226 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 248,949 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 3,654 confirmed cases (including 18 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 7,295,391 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 468,367 were still under medical observation.

On Oct 24, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 1,021 new asymptomatic cases (146 imported cases; 875 indigenous cases, 124 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 78 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 77 in Hunan province, 76 in Shanxi province, 69 in Shaanxi province, 62 in Guangdong province, 57 in Sichuan province, 56 in Fujian province, 36 in Tianjin municipality, 33 in Shandong province, 32 in Qinghai province, 31 in Yunnan province, 27 in Hubei province, 19 in Shanghai municipality, 19 in Henan province, 14 in Jiangsu province, 13 in Anhui province, 12 in Chongqing municipality, 12 in Gansu province, 7 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 5 in Hebei province, 5 in Tibet autonomous region, 4 in Heilongjiang province, 4 in Ningxia Hui autonomous region, 2 in Zhejiang province and 1 in Jiangxi province).

On Oct 24, 1,043 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (112 imported cases; 931 indigenous cases, 292 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 207 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 54 in Yunnan province, 53 in Sichuan province, 38 in Hubei province, 31 in Gansu province, 29 in Anhui province, 25 in Shanxi province, 20 in Tianjin municipality, 20 in Henan province, 19 in Guangdong province, 18 in Chongqing municipality, 17 in Jiangsu province, 16 in Shanghai municipality, 16 in Guizhou province, 16 in Shaanxi province, 12 in Heilongjiang province, 11 in Jilin province, 10 in Shandong province, 7 in Liaoning province, 7 in Hunan province, 4 in Hebei province, 3 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 2 in Ningxia Hui autonomous region, 1 in Beijing municipality, 1 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Jiangxi province and 1 in Hainan province). 19 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 7 imported cases). As of 24:00 on Oct 24, 15,096 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 1,070 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Oct 24, 7,907,214 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 429,943 in Hong Kong (10,333 had died and 89,914 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 793 in Macao (6 had died and 787 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 7,476,478 in Taiwan (12,385 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
