The 19th Optics Valley of China International Optoelectronic Exposition and Forum (OVC Expo) will kick off on Nov 11 in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province. The high-profile extravaganza will last for three days until Nov 13, according to news released by the expo's organizing committee on Oct 8.
The OVC Expo this year will create a special "light of technology exhibition area", which will demonstrate major optoelectronic breakthroughs made by top domestic scientific and research institutions.
Huawei, CICT, YOFC, and other companies will collaborate with the expo to issue a white paper for the industry, and hold a summit themed on F5G (5th generation Fixed networks) applications.

Listed companies and specialized and new firms in the laser optics field, such as HGTECH and Raycus Fiber Laser Tech, will also participate at the expo.
The forum of the expo has long been considered the highlight of the event, as it is deemed as one of China's most influential platforms for optoelectronic discussions and meetings. The forum this year will focus on the F5G all-optical network, intelligent photonics, biomedical photonics, and other frontiers.
Experts from authoritative international institutions in this area will also be invited to the expo, including those from the International Society for Optical Engineering, the Optical Society of America, and the European Photonics Industry Consortium.
The selection of HALO Awards will also be conducted during the expo. The HALOs have so far involved the participation of more than 400 enterprises.
