A project being carried out by the Wuxi Internet of Things Industry Research Institute was included in the 2022 Jiangsu technology standard innovation base preparation list recently released by the Jiangsu Provincial Market Supervision and Administration Bureau.
The project, namely the Jiangsu provincial IoT technology standard innovation base, is the only one in Wuxi to be included on the list.
The Wuxi Internet of Things Industry Research Institute works to promote the national strategy of IoT standardization.
The new provincial innovation base will cover about 3,000 square meters and have a total of 15 full-time and part-time standardization workers.
In the next two years, more than 15 million yuan ($2.07 million) will be directly invested in the base for daily operation, standard comprehensive service, technical standard transformation, standard application promotion, personnel training, standard development and test verification.
By the end of 2024, the institute is expected to fully complete the preparatory task of building an IoT standard innovation base.
Taking advantage of IoT industrial development in the district, WND has been making efforts to establish standard systems.
This year, WND has led or participated in the formulation and revision of three international standards, 16 national standards, two industry standards, two provincial and municipal standards, and four group standards.
