The first and second training sessions on the China Development and Nutrition Health Impact Cohort Survey were held in Hunan and Henan provinces on Sept 16 and 23, respectively.
Zhang Bing, deputy director of the National Institute for Nutrition and Health (NINH) of China CDC, Wang Huijun, director of the Public Nutrition Office of NINH, and other staff members participated in the training sessions.
Zhang introduced the history and progress of the survey project. Relevant personnel of the Public Nutrition Office of NINH then gave lectures and guidance on the survey scheme and content.
The China Development and Nutrition Health Impact Cohort Survey was developed from the China Health and Nutrition Survey project by NINH of the China CDC. Eleven rounds of such cohort surveys have been carried out since 1989, involving surveyed population in 15 provincial-level regions.
