On Oct 7, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 501 new cases of confirmed infections (54 imported cases, 12 in Fujian province, 10 in Guangdong province, 7 in Beijing municipality, 7 in Sichuan province, 5 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 4 in Liaoning province, 3 in Jiangsu province, 2 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Shanghai municipality, 1 in Shandong province, 1 in Yunnan province and 1 in Shaanxi province, including 7 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 3 in Guangdong province, 2 in Beijing municipality and 2 in Sichuan province; 447 indigenous cases, 251 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 47 in Guangdong province, 44 in Sichuan province, 30 in Shanxi province, 17 in Chongqing municipality, 14 in Shaanxi province, 12 in Yunnan province, 5 in Hunan province, 4 in Jiangsu province, 4 in Tibet autonomous region, 4 in Ningxia Hui autonomous region, 4 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 3 in Beijing municipality, 2 in Shanghai municipality, 2 in Hainan province, 1 in Liaoning province, 1 in Heilongjiang province, 1 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and 1 in Guizhou province, including 167 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 132 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 15 in Sichuan province, 8 in Guangdong province, 7 in Shanxi province, 4 in Chongqing municipality and 1 in Hunan province), no deaths, and no new cases of suspected infections.

On Oct 7, 159 patients were released from hospital after being cured (49 imported cases; 110 indigenous cases, 38 in Sichuan province, 19 in Guizhou province, 15 in Heilongjiang province, 5 in Tianjin municipality, 5 in Guangdong province, 4 in Tibet autonomous region, 4 in Ningxia Hui autonomous region, 3 in Shaanxi province, 2 in Beijing municipality, 2 in Hebei province, 2 in Shandong province, 2 in Henan province, 2 in Yunnan province, 2 in Qinghai province, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 1 in Liaoning province, 1 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Fujian province and 1 in Hunan province). 23,667 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases decreased by 3.

As of 24:00 on Oct 7, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 24,538 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 23,905 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 633 confirmed cases (including 1 case in serious condition) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Oct 7, the National Health Commission had received reports of 252,638 confirmed cases and 5,226 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 244,113 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 3,299 confirmed cases (including 16 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 6,251,431 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 246,688 were still under medical observation.

On Oct 7, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 1,424 new asymptomatic cases (123 imported cases; 1,301 indigenous cases, 386 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 344 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 108 in Hubei province, 52 in Gansu province, 47 in Sichuan province, 33 in Ningxia Hui autonomous region, 32 in Shanxi province, 29 in Shaanxi province, 27 in Guangdong province, 27 in Tibet autonomous region, 26 in Yunnan province, 24 in Henan province, 23 in Chongqing municipality, 22 in Jiangsu province, 21 in Shanghai municipality, 14 in Hebei province, 12 in Shandong province, 12 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 9 in Jilin province, 9 in Anhui province, 8 in Tianjin municipality, 7 in Zhejiang province, 7 in Hunan province, 7 in Guizhou province, 5 in Heilongjiang province, 4 in Liaoning province, 3 in Fujian province, 2 in Jiangxi province and 1 in Hainan province).

On Oct 7, 542 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (83 imported cases; 459 indigenous cases, 127 in Ningxia Hui autonomous region, 81 in Heilongjiang province, 55 in Guizhou province, 46 in Sichuan province, 33 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 32 in Tibet autonomous region, 18 in Shaanxi province, 10 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 9 in Yunnan province, 8 in Hebei province, 7 in Tianjin municipality, 6 in Shandong province, 5 in Henan province, 4 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 4 in Jiangsu province, 4 in Qinghai province, 3 in Hubei province, 2 in Chongqing municipality, 1 in Liaoning province, 1 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Hunan province, 1 in Hainan province and 1 in Gansu province). 174 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 7 imported cases). As of 24:00 on Oct 7, 10,252 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 833 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Oct 7, 7,201,866 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 418,409 in Hong Kong (10,202 had died and 86,289 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 793 in Macao (6 had died and 787 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 6,782,664 in Taiwan (11,389 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
