The Tianshi big incense burner, cast in 1700, weighs 178 kilograms and is 119 centimeters tall. It has three legs and two upright handles. Abundant inscriptions on the ears record Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) history and religious activities.
Housed at a temple in Kunming, Yunnan province, the incense burner was buried in ruins after the demolition of the temple by Japanese troops in the 1930s. Unearthed in the 1990s, it was collected by businessman Yan Zhenghao and donated to the Yunnan Provincial Museum in 2018.
