A new research and development center for Chinese listed software development multinational Neusoft Corporation was officially opened on Sept 21 in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone, or WEDZ – located in Wuhan city, in Central China's Hubei province, according to local media reports.
The R&D facility is Neusoft's third in China, following those in Shenyang city – where the group has its headquarters – and Dalian city, both in Northeast China's Liaoning province.
The center will mainly be responsible for developing software and systematic solutions related to automobiles, electronics, medical care, cyber security, education, intelligent cities and government affairs.
It is expected to start operating in the first quarter of 2024 and will boast 4,000 software R&D employees.
Founded in 1991, Neusoft is China's first listed software firm and it is involved in smart cities, medical care, intelligent connected vehicles and other software products and services. It is China's leading IT solutions and service provider.
