CDPF holds policies training seminar for key counties needing support for rural vitalization

The China Disabled Person's Federation and the National Rural Revitalization Administration held a training seminar on policies for people with disabilities in the key counties for receiving assistance for rural revitalization in Ankang city of Northwest China's Shaanxi province from Sept 20 to 22.

More than 70 officials in charge of education and employment as well as services for the disabled people. from nine provincial-level regions attended the seminar.

During the training, the participants visited support bases for people with disabilities in several towns in Ankang, learning the local experience in such areas such as poverty alleviation, employment and day care.

The participants agreed that they will make good use of the training results, integrate the transfer funds from the higher-level governments, further increase the efforts in education, employment, rehabilitation, day care for persons with disabilities, and household barrier-free facilities renovation. They said they will find new ideas, methods and initiatives in according with local conditions and continuously improve the level of protection and services for persons with disabilities in rural areas.
