Sept 26: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On Sept 25, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 295 new cases of confirmed infections (60 imported cases, 19 in Shanghai municipality, 19 in Guangdong province, 5 in Fujian province, 3 in Beijing municipality, 3 in Sichuan province, 2 in Tianjin municipality, 2 in Jiangsu province, 2 in Zhejiang province, 2 in Yunnan province, 1 in Shandong province, 1 in Chongqing municipality and 1 in Shaanxi province, including 5 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 2 in Guangdong province, 2 in Sichuan province and 1 in Jiangsu province; 235 indigenous cases, 154 in Guizhou province, 35 in Sichuan province, 16 in Heilongjiang province, 9 in Tibet autonomous region, 7 in Guangdong province, 3 in Tianjin municipality, 3 in Yunnan province, 3 in Ningxia Hui autonomous region, 2 in Qinghai province, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 1 in Chongqing municipality and 1 in Shaanxi province, including 101 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 90 in Guizhou province, 9 in Sichuan province, 1 in Qinghai province and 1 in Ningxia Hui autonomous region), no deaths, and no new cases of suspected infections.

On Sept 25, 280 patients were released from hospital after being cured (54 imported cases; 226 indigenous cases, 77 in Sichuan province, 40 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 29 in Hainan province, 15 in Guizhou province, 14 in Beijing municipality, 14 in Tibet autonomous region, 11 in Shandong province, 11 in Guangdong province, 5 in Tianjin municipality, 3 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 3 in Shaanxi province, 1 in Liaoning province, 1 in Jiangxi province, 1 in Hubei province and 1 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region). 12,468 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases increased by 5.

As of 24:00 on Sept 25, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 23,809 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 23,251 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 558 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Sept 25, the National Health Commission had received reports of 249,684 confirmed cases and 5,226 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 241,496 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 2,962 confirmed cases (including 41 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 5,936,176 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 136,475 were still under medical observation.

On Sept 25, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 704 new asymptomatic cases (107 imported cases; 597 indigenous cases, 184 in Ningxia Hui autonomous region, 141 in Heilongjiang province, 97 in Guizhou province, 89 in Tibet autonomous region, 16 in Tianjin municipality, 16 in Qinghai province, 13 in Sichuan province, 8 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 5 in Jiangsu province, 5 in Guangdong province, 3 in Jiangxi province, 3 in Shandong province, 3 in Yunnan province, 3 in Shaanxi province, 2 in Henan province, 2 in Hubei province, 1 in Hebei province, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 1 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Anhui province, 1 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 1 in Hainan province and 1 in Chongqing municipality).

On Sept 25, 1,332 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (132 imported cases; 1,200 indigenous cases, 355 in Hainan province, 219 in Guizhou province, 205 in Tibet autonomous region, 87 in Sichuan province, 61 in Liaoning province, 56 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 36 in Shandong province, 31 in Hubei province, 26 in Heilongjiang province, 21 in Jiangxi province, 18 in Tianjin municipality, 17 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 13 in Jilin province, 12 in Gansu province, 9 in Shaanxi province, 7 in Guangdong province, 7 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 6 in Qinghai province, 3 in Hebei province, 3 in Shanghai municipality, 3 in Henan province, 2 in Fujian province, 2 in Ningxia Hui autonomous region and 1 in Chongqing municipality). 106 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 5 imported cases). As of 24:00 on Sept 25, 11,333 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 760 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Sept 25, 6,662,991 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 412,147 in Hong Kong (10,116 had died and 83,531 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 793 in Macao (6 had died and 787 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 6,250,051 in Taiwan (10,828 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
