Baotou boasts 245,061 various market entities

Since the beginning of this year, the business environment has been continuously optimized and endogenous power and development vitality have been strengthened. As of the end of August, Baotou was home to 245,061 market entities, a year-on-year increase of 17.51 percent.

Among them, the number of enterprises increased the fastest, reaching 74,556; followed by individual industrial and commercial households, which increased by 17.24 percent year-on-year to 165,543; and farmers' professional cooperatives, which increased by 3.16 percent year-on-year, reaching 4,960.

The tertiary industry has the largest number of market players, showing a rational distribution pattern of primary, secondary and tertiary industries. The primary industry accounts for 4.4 percent of the total, the secondary industry accounts for 9.56 percent, and the tertiary industry accounts for 86.03 percent.

In addition, registered capital has grown steadily. The total registered capital of market players is currently 1,023.44 billion yuan ($147.87 billion), a year-on-year increase of 42.14 percent.
