Key project construction scheduling meeting held in Baotou

The Baotou Key Project Construction Scheduling Promotion Meeting was held on Sept 15 – in Baotou city, located in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – with Ding Xiufeng, secretary of Baotou municipal Party committee, presiding and Zhang Rui, mayor, attending.

At the meeting, banners, counties, districts and the Baotou Rare Earth High-tech Industrial Development Zone in Baotou reported on projects newly started in 2022 and on projects costing more than 100 million yuan ($14.25 million) that could be started by the end of the year.

Ding pointed out that project construction had always been at the center of economic development and the key to transformation, upgrading and structural adjustment in the implementation of specific projects.

Baotou should vigorously promote investment and continue to introduce projects that conform to the city's industrial positioning, match its resource endowments and have good development prospects, he said.

Ding also emphasized that it was necessary to create conditions for the normal production and operations of enterprises, solve their practical problems before they reached production target – as well as turn more construction sites into producing and operating enterprises.

In addition, Ding proposed to make every effort to provide service guarantees, establish and improve normalized communication mechanisms such as breakfast meetings for political and business discussions and to create a business environment and brand that satisfy enterprises.
