Xie Xin has worked in the Guangdong Modern Dance Troupe, the Shanghai Jinxing Dance Troupe, the Tao Body Theater and Beijing Leidong Tianxia Modern Dance Company. She has performed in art festivals in more than 25 countries. After founding the Xie Xin Dance Theater in 2014, she continued to study modern dance in New York, Paris and Berlin and served as an artist-in-residence at the Shanghai University of Sport.
In 2017, Xie launched the "Body Frontier" international exchange workshop project, which is one of the most influential undertakings of its kind in Shanghai. Her work won the golden prize at the 14th Rome International Dance Competition and the 29th International Choreographic Competition Hannover in 2015.
