Wuxi teams up with CRRC

Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province inked a framework agreement for strategic cooperation with CRRC Corporation Ltd on Aug 9.

The two sides will cooperate on rail transit, new energy vehicles, semiconductors, environmental protection, and funds and will explore further cooperation on enterprise training and talent exchanges, according to the agreement.

Du Xiaogang, mayor of Wuxi, said at the signing ceremony that CRRC leads the world in the rail transit industry and is an important partner of Wuxi's urban construction and industrial development.

The mayor pledged that Wuxi will offer the most favorable business environment and best support to CRRC and its subsidiaries.

Sun Yongcai, president of CRRC, thanked Wuxi for its long-term support and added that the enterprise will send its best team and resources and adhere to the highest standards to provide the city with safer, greener, and higher quality products.

Wuxi Metro Group Co Ltd also signed cooperation agreements with CRRC and CRRC Construction Engineering Co Ltd that same day to carry out all-around cooperation in the investment, construction, and management of intelligent urban rail transit.

CRRC inaugurated its Jiangsu CRRC City Development Ltd and a research and development center in Wuxi after the signing ceremony.

The former is dedicated to constructing the Wuxi-Jiangyin-Jingjiang Intercity Rail Transit while the latter is expected to carry out research on vibration and noise reduction as well as lightweight automobiles.
