Shanghai dazzles at 22nd CIFIT

The 22nd China International Fair for Investment and Trade, or CIFIT, opened on September 8 in Xiamen, Fujian province.

The Shanghai booth was unveiled with the theme of "Invest Shanghai, Share Future", and received nearly 200 investors from countries and regions such as Spain, Morocco, Canada, Afghanistan, Solomon, Hong Kong and Nagasaki on the first day, many intended on future investment in Shanghai.

The booth delivered key information about Shanghai's investment landscape, industrial layout and policies. It also introduced Minhang district's unique advantages in artificial intelligence and other high-tech fields.

Many of visitors expressed strong interest in Shanghai's support policies to attract high-level overseas talents to work in the city, and they particularly wanted to know more about the investment industries in districts such as Minhang, Baoshan, Fengxian and Jiading. Through introductions by members of the Shanghai delegation, many investors have already initiated cooperation negotiations with regional counterparts.

Meanwhile, members of the Shanghai delegation participated in CIFIT-related activities which promoted high-level opening-up, joint construction of the Belt and Road, BRICS cooperation as well as the economic exchanges under the RCEP mechanism, to make full use of this platform's potential and to learn about the latest authoritative information reports.
