As the traditional Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival arrives, food factories across China rev up production of moon cakes to meet the increasing demand.
The market regulators have also enhanced quality control of food and price monitoring in the supermarket, avoiding excessive packaging and price fraud.
According to Tianyancha, a Chinese corporate information provider, there are about 22,000 moon cake-related companies across the country, and those in Guangdong province account for 12.3 percent, ranking first in China.
