On Aug 27, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 307 new cases of confirmed infections (48 imported cases, 19 in Guangdong province, 10 in Fujian province, 8 in Shanghai municipality, 3 in Beijing municipality, 2 in Tianjin municipality, 2 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 2 in Sichuan province, 1 in Shandong province and 1 in Chongqing municipality, including 6 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 3 in Guangdong province, 2 in Sichuan province and 1 in Fujian province; 259 indigenous cases, 70 in Hainan province, 69 in Sichuan province, 51 in Tibet autonomous region, 13 in Guangdong province, 13 in Shaanxi province, 12 in Chongqing municipality, 9 in Shanxi province, 6 in Liaoning province, 4 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 4 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 2 in Beijing municipality, 2 in Tianjin municipality, 2 in Henan province, 1 in Heilongjiang province and 1 in Hunan province, including 70 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 42 in Hainan province, 8 in Sichuan province, 6 in Liaoning province, 5 in Tibet autonomous region, 3 in Shanxi province, 3 in Chongqing municipality, 1 in Hunan province, 1 in Guangdong province and 1 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region), no deaths, and no new cases of suspected infections.

On Aug 27, 632 patients were released from hospital after being cured (77 imported cases; 555 indigenous cases, 469 in Hainan province, 16 in Tibet autonomous region, 16 in Shaanxi province, 11 in Guangdong province, 10 in Sichuan province, 9 in Fujian province, 7 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 4 in Zhejiang province, 4 in Chongqing municipality, 3 in Qinghai province, 2 in Henan province, 1 in Beijing municipality, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 1 in Shandong province and 1 in Hunan province). 20,438 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases decreased by 3.

As of 24:00 on Aug 27, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 22,301 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 21,733 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 568 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Aug 27, the National Health Commission had received reports of 241,955 confirmed cases and 5,226 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 229,797 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 6,932 confirmed cases (including 31 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 5,221,262 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 204,082 were still under medical observation.

On Aug 27, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 1,137 new asymptomatic cases (102 imported cases; 1,035 indigenous cases, 452 in Tibet autonomous region, 125 in Hainan province, 78 in Sichuan province, 76 in Qinghai province, 57 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 52 in Henan province, 44 in Shaanxi province, 29 in Hebei province, 24 in Jiangxi province, 21 in Gansu province, 12 in Hubei province, 10 in Liaoning province, 8 in Shanghai municipality, 8 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 7 in Heilongjiang province, 7 in Chongqing municipality, 5 in Tianjin municipality, 5 in Fujian province, 4 in Guangdong province, 3 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 2 in Shanxi province, 2 in Jiangsu province, 2 in Shandong province, 1 in Beijing municipality and 1 in Zhejiang province).

On Aug 27, 1,339 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (57 imported cases; 1,282 indigenous cases, 738 in Hainan province, 312 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 76 in Tibet autonomous region, 34 in Zhejiang province, 24 in Jiangxi province, 22 in Qinghai province, 16 in the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, 15 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 12 in Shaanxi province, 6 in Henan province, 5 in Hubei province, 4 in Heilongjiang province, 2 in Shanghai municipality, 2 in Jiangsu province, 2 in Guangdong province, 2 in Chongqing municipality, 2 in Sichuan province, 2 in Gansu province, 1 in Hebei province, 1 in Shanxi province, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 1 in Fujian province, 1 in Shandong province and 1 in Hunan province). 76 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 6 imported cases). As of 24:00 on Aug 27, 22,052 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 751 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Aug 27, 5,575,916 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 380,273 in Hong Kong (9,654 had died and 73,533 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 793 in Macao (6 had died and 785 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 5,194,850 in Taiwan (9,813 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
