New Tayron vehicles hit the market

FAW-Volkswagen launched the new Tayron family of vehicles on Tuesday, with nine variants including the new plug-in hybrid Tayron GTE. The SUVs are priced from 204,900 yuan to 262,900 yuan ($29,849-$38,298).

The joint venture provides three powertrains, including a 1.4T and a 2.0T engine. With the sixth-generation BorgWarner-Haldex differential device and 4 Motion intelligent four-wheel-drive system, the models can meet the full scope of users' driving demands.

The models are equipped with a 10.25-inch LCD instrument and a 12-inch central control screen to offer an immersive intelligent cockpit.

With the IQ. Drive intelligent driving butler, the models allow advanced adaptive cruise, front anti-collision and automatic braking, lane keeping assistance and other driving-assist functions. The new Tayron family also can achieve Level 2 driving-assist functions, including rear traffic warning and lane change assist.

The new Tayron family is equipped with an intelligent parking system and IQ. smart connected features, including information query, online navigation and voice interaction.

The Tayron family has attracted around 600,000 Chinese customers in the past three years.
