The 19th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) is scheduled to be held in Nanning, the capital of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, from Sept 16 to 19, and plans to set up a first-ever exhibition area for Guangxi's achievements of integrating into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, according to the CAEXPO Secretariat.
Results from the coordinated development and cooperation between Guangdong and Guangxi and between the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone and the Greater Bay Area will be showcased during events such as major industrial project promotions and contract signings.
In the past 18 years, the CAEXPO has served as a major platform for the opening-up and cooperation of China and ASEAN and has invited Greater Bay Area cities as well as their trade and investment promotion institutes and enterprises to participate in the CAEXPO to carry out economic and trade exchanges.
Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao have actively attended past CAEXPO events, showcasing the advantageous industries in the Greater Bay Area and the latest economic and trade cooperation outcomes with ASEAN. Famous Greater Bay Area enterprises, such as Huawei, BGI, Dji and Tencent have inked many business deals with ASEAN countries.
