SAIC's Roewe launched a pure electric MPV on Saturday. The iMAX8 comes in five variants at prices ranging from 259,800-359,800 yuan ($38,071-52,725).
The carmaker offers a choice of five colors for the body and two for the interior to meet customers' demands.
The seven-seat MPV has a class-leading wheelbase of 3 meters. It measures 5,016 millimeters in total length, 1,909 mm in width and 1,796mm in height.
Equipped with SAIC's latest electric drive system, the MPV has a maximum output of 180 kilowatts and a top torque of 350 Newton meters.
With a 90 kilowatt-hour battery, the model has maximum range of 570 kilometers and can charge from 30 percent to 80 percent in 30 minutes.
The Roewe iMAX8 EV features a number of tools to ensure the safety of occupants, including Lane Assist, Door Open Warnings, Parking Assistance and others.
To provide quiet and comfortable space for passengers, the model adopts multilayer silent laminated glasses and silent steel plate. It also has a food and beverage storage box, the temperature of which can be adjusted from 3-55 Celsius.
