The 2022 "Zhi & Xing Guizhou" Silk Road Youth Exchange Program, which is part of this year's China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, launched a Chinese medicine cultural experience event at Zunyi Medical and Pharmaceutical College in Zunyi, Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Aug 2.
Teachers and international students from Kunming University of Science and Technology and Yunnan Agricultural University will experience the culture surrounding traditional Chinese medicine, tea, and baijiu, and learn about modern history and ethnic groups in Zunyi.
Zhang Biao, vice-president of Zunyi Medical and Pharmaceutical College, welcomed the students and teachers at the launch ceremony and expressed hope that they can delve into Guizhou's culture and play a key role in boosting communications and exchange between different countries.
The "Zhi & Xing Guizhou" Silk Road Youth Exchange Program was initiated by the Guizhou Provincial Department of Education and the secretariat of the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week in 2021.
The program sponsors at least 100 international youths to participate in short-term exchanges in Guizhou to teach them about the province and enhance ties between Guizhou and international youth.
This is the second time that Zunyi Medical and Pharmaceutical College has held such an event.
