The East China LUYOU Music Video Competition wraps up in Qingdao

The East China LUYOU Music Video Competition award ceremony was held in Qingdao,China on July 2. Three awards for the best of the competition, six awards for the outstanding work and other individual awards were announced at the ceremony.

The East China LUYOU Music Video Competition is one of the most professional national cultural contests in China. Its mission is to build a professional and high-end platform to showcase music videos with innovative ideas and high level of filming and production.

The jury committee is a team of leading Industry experts from art and film fields selected by the competition committee after nomination by province-level offices. Distinguished professionals, motion artists and multimedia experts comprise this year's competition jury, including Chenxin Yang, Weijing Liu, Dai Wenjiang and other industry experts. Every jury participated in the full reviewing and judging process of music video and multimedia works. Chenxin Yang led the scoring for the best director, the best editing and the best creative direction sections. Weijing Liu led scoring for the best cinematography, the best lyricist and the best producer sections. Dai Wenjiang led the scoring for the best composer, the best male and female actor sections. From June 30 to July 1, the competition finished the judging phase.

This year's competition had a wide impact in the industry. It was jointly hosted by Shanghai Television Artist Association, Qingdao Federation of Literature and Art and other provincial level industry institutions. As one of the most famous professional cultural events, the competition was widely distributed through television and was covered by major media press across the country.
