On Aug 14, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 770 new cases of confirmed infections (78 imported cases, 16 in Beijing municipality, 15 in Guangdong province, 11 in Shanghai municipality, 6 in Heilongjiang province, 6 in Shandong province, 6 in Sichuan province, 5 in Fujian province, 3 in Jilin province, 3 in Yunnan province, 3 in Shaanxi province, 2 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region and 2 in Liaoning province, including 11 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 3 in Shandong province, 2 in Beijing municipality, 2 in Liaoning province, 2 in Guangdong province and 2 in Sichuan province; 692 indigenous cases, 582 in Hainan province, 69 in Tibet autonomous region, 12 in Guangdong province, 8 in Zhejiang province, 6 in Fujian province, 3 in Qinghai province, 2 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 2 in Chongqing municipality, 2 in Sichuan province, 1 in Shanghai municipality, 1 in Jiangsu province, 1 in Jiangxi province, 1 in Henan province, 1 in Shaanxi province and 1 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, including 48 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 24 in Tibet autonomous region, 13 in Hainan province, 6 in Zhejiang province, 2 in Guangdong province, 1 in Sichuan province, 1 in Qinghai province and 1 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region), no deaths, and 1 new case of suspected infections (an imported case in Shanghai municipality).

On Aug 14, 128 patients were released from hospital after being cured (53 imported cases; 75 indigenous cases, 37 in Sichuan province, 9 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 6 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 6 in Fujian province, 3 in Shandong province, 3 in Guangdong province, 3 in Hainan province, 2 in Zhejiang province, 2 in Chongqing municipality, 2 in Gansu province, 1 in Beijing municipality and 1 in Shanghai municipality). 10,344 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases increased by 4.

As of 24:00 on Aug 14, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 21,580 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 20,903 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 677 confirmed cases (including 2 cases in serious condition) and 1 suspected case.

As of 24:00 on Aug 14, the National Health Commission had received reports of 235,670 confirmed cases (decreased by 1 in Hainan province after verification) and 5,226 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 224,571 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 5,873 confirmed cases (decreased by 1 in Hainan province after verification and including 12 cases in serious condition) and 1 suspected case. 4,905,293 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 190,173 were still under medical observation.

On Aug 14, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 1,708 new asymptomatic cases (88 imported cases; 1,620 indigenous cases, 580 in Hainan province, 523 in Tibet autonomous region, 343 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 52 in Jiangxi province, 40 in the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, 28 in Zhejiang province, 10 in Hubei province, 9 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 6 in Sichuan province, 6 in Qinghai province, 5 in Shanghai municipality, 4 in Hebei province, 4 in Guangdong province, 3 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 3 in Shaanxi province, 1 in Fujian province, 1 in Henan province, 1 in Chongqing municipality and 1 in Yunnan province).

On Aug 14, 369 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (97 imported cases; 272 indigenous cases, 55 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 42 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 36 in Shandong province, 36 in Henan province, 27 in Zhejiang province, 25 in Gansu province, 21 in Sichuan province, 17 in the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, 4 in Guangdong province, 3 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 2 in Hainan province, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Anhui province, 1 in Jiangxi province and 1 in Chongqing municipality). 59 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 11 imported cases). As of 24:00 on Aug 14, 10,999 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 696 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Aug 14, 5,255,597 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 365,966 in Hong Kong (9,565 had died and 70,301 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 791 in Macao (6 had died and 785 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 4,888,840 in Taiwan (9,435 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
