In the first half of this year, Guangxi's imports and exports with RCEP member countries amounted to 100.86 billion yuan, accounting for 42.1 percent of Guangxi's total.
Among them, imports and exports with Brunei, Myanmar, Cambodia, Malaysia, and the Philippines increased significantly, up 360.5 percent, 142 percent, 44.2 percent, 24.3 percent, and 91.7 percent respectively. Its trade with Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand was mainly concentrated in exports, up 44.6 percent, 18.8 percent, 0.8 percent, and 9.8 percent respectively.
The sea-rail intermodal trains of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor cover 108 stations in 56 cities across 16 provinces, of which the trains in Guangxi have basically achieved full coverage. The region's sea routes can reach more than 200 ports in more than 100 countries.
From 2020 to June 2022, 598.4 billion yuan of financing was issued for the construction of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor in the western region of Guangxi. As of the end of June 2022, the balance of financing for the construction of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor was 673.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 26.41 percent.
In the first half of this year, there were 4,132 sea-rail intermodal trains at Beibu Gulf Port, an increase of 42 percent, with the number of trains expected to exceed 7,000 throughout the year.
