Feed processing project put into operation in Pingyao

A feed processing project was put into operation in Pingyao county, North China's Shanxi province, on Aug 5.

The project invested by Shanxi Jinrun Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Technology Co with 65 million yuan ($9.62 million) covers an area of 2.67 hectares in local Xiangyuan township and has an annual production capacity of 300,000 metric tons. 

The equipment used in the project has a high degree of automation, accurate control and measurement, and a low failure rate, reducing labor costs and having a low operating fault tolerance rate.

The project can feed 1 million pigs and achieve an annual output value of 800 million yuan and annual profits and taxes of 40 million yuan, driving the healthy and rapid development of the local corn planting and pig breeding industries. 

At the project commissioning ceremony, the county's authority claimed that the local departments of agriculture and rural affairs and industry and information technology will increase their support for Shanxi Jinrun Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Technology Co, and expressed hope that the enterprise will develop the project into a demonstrative one for agricultural transformation in Pingyao.
