SAIC Motor's Roewe unveiled its Mount Everest architecture and dedicated EV platform Nebula on Friday.
The two platforms are designed to lay a solid foundation for the marque to reach new heights in both gasoline and electric vehicles, it said.
With a focus on electrification and connectivity, the Everest is capable of building vehicles in segments including sedans, SUVs and MPVs.
It offers up to 10 powertrain combinations of engines and electric motors.
The RX5 and hybrid eRX5, which are built on the platform, have hit the market.
The Nebula is Chinese carmakers' first EV-dedicated platform. It is able to provide the foundations of various types of vehicles.
Models using the platform can host frontier technologies such as high-pressure casting, solid-state battery, electrical architecture and autonomous driving.
Roewe said it is developing a large-sized electric SUV based on the Nebula platform. The iMAX8 EV, also based on the platform, is scheduled to launch soon.
