Haimen's cultural, tourism sectors post rapid growth

Per capita consumption of cultural entertainment in Haimen district, Nantong, Jiangsu province was 5,333 yuan ($795.12) in 2021, a year-on-year increase of 30.3 percent, according to official statistics.

The Haimen Grand Theater has held 15 performances, including Mahua FunAge's dramas, Cui Jian's concerts and children's plays, and received more than 15,000 visitors since its first performance was held on Jan 3.

During the summer holiday, the theater will hold 13 performances, including some classic fairy tales, such asThe Little Match Girl, and the Winter-Olympics-themed playBing Dwen Dwen and Shuey Rhon Rhon.

In recent years, in order to boost the district's cultural and tourism consumption, cultural and tourism scenic spots such as Jianghai Museum, Haimen library and Haimen Grand Theater have been constructed and put into use.

From last year to now, one new four-star hotel and two national 3A level scenic spots have been built in the district, and a large number of attractions, such as Liuxiban street, have finished construction and started operating.
