Badain Jaran Desert a beautiful tourism destination

The Badain Jaran Desert, located at the core area of Alshaa Desert Global Geopark, has a total area of 47,000 square kilometers. It has an altitude of 1,200-1,700 meters, and a relative height of more than 500 meters.

Endowed with colorful sceneries, Badain Jaran desert has cragged peaks, beautiful lakes, springs and temples. In the middle area of the desert are countless sand-echoing hills. It has been rated as the first of the five most beautiful deserts in China by the Chinese National Geography Magazine. It was recommended by the China National Tourism Administration and China Association for Scientific Expedition as one of the 17 best adventure tourism destinations in China.
