Experts eye future of medical apparatus industry in SND

A forum on the practical application of scientific and technological achievements in the medical apparatus industry was held in Suzhou New District, East China's Jiangsu province, on July 13, local media outlets reported.

Experts and industrial insiders shared their perspectives into the development trends of the practical application of scientific and technological achievements in the high-end medical device industry.

Teng Gaojun, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and president of the Zhongda Hospital affiliated to Southeast University, delivered a keynote speech on the innovation and application of interventional devices and technology driven by clinical needs.

The event also witnessed the unveiling of a scientific and technological achievement application base, a result of cooperation between the Jiangsu Medical Association and SND.

The two sides, relying on the medical apparatus industry innovation cluster in SND, will attract high-end medical talent in Jiangsu province and focus on the application of new products and technologies, the evaluation and cultivation of high-value patents, international exchanges and cooperation, and special scientific research support.
