Siemens, a global leader in electrical and electronic engineering, recently announced that from Oct 1, its electrical product China headquarters in Suzhou New District will be upgraded to its China and East Asia headquarters, expanding business to South Korea and Japan.
This also marks the first East Asia headquarters project invested in by a global top 500 enterprise in Suzhou.
The upgrading showed Siemens' confidence in SND over the past 28 years – during which time its operations in the district have flourished.
Markus Grabmeier, executive vice-president of Siemens Electrical Products and general manager of Electrical Products China, said that: "The friendly business environment, integrated supply chains and sufficient talent pool in SND and the Yangtze River Delta region have offered strong support for our business development. With SND's considerate services, we are confident that we can both further enhance our competitiveness and help promote the digital and sustainable development of local industrial chains."
