Fudan University signed a new cooperation agreement with China Daily, China's leading English-language media group, via a video link on July 6.
According to the agreement, the two parties will deepen collaboration in brand communication, personnel training and scientific research, give more play to their respective advantages and make greater contributions to promoting exchanges and communication between China and the world.
During the signing ceremony, Qu Yingpu, publisher and editor-in-chief of China Daily, said that the two parties share the same mission to tell China's stories well, present a true, multidimensional and panoramic view of China, and cultivate international communication professionals in the new era. Their strong partnership will generate greater synergy to improve the country's capacity for engaging in international communication and contribute to the high-quality development of higher education.
Jiao Yang, chair of Fudan University Council, said that the university will deepen strategic cooperation with China Daily, and give full play to the advantages of both parties to make new contributions to the high-quality development of international communication. The two parties will strengthen collaboration in theoretical research to tell China's stories well, cultivate capable professionals for international communication, and forge a better platform to present China's image.
Over the past years, Fudan University has maintained close cooperation with China Daily. Since 2014, the two parties have carried out three rounds of strategic cooperation, and this cooperation agreement signing marks the fourth.
