Central Axis cultural heritage innovation contest kicks off

The Competition for the Transmission and Promotion of Beijing Central Axis started to collect public works on July 20.

The competition is hosted by the Beijing Municipal Cultural Relics Bureau and the Beijing Municipal Office for Conservation and Management of Central Axis.

The competition welcomes the public, including international visitors, to submit their works that reflect their understanding or inspirations of the Central Axis.

Participants can submit works that cover update plans for the time-honored brands, films and photos, creative cultural items, as well as digital expressions of the Central Axis elements.

The idea is to fully display the charm of the Central Axis and help it to attain UNESCO intangible cultural heritage status.
