In June, Guangxi's foreign trade imports and exports increased for the fourth consecutive month, with its imports and exports totaling 50.32 billion yuan ($7.46 billion), a year-on-year increase of 3.7 percent and a month-on-month increase of 7.7 percent.
Guangxi's general trade and processing trade boosted foreign trade in June, with its general trade and processing trade increasing by 25.2 percent and 38.2 percent year-on-year respectively.
Guangxi is home to 2,247 foreign trade enterprises, an increase of 7.5 percent over April, with its import and export trade with countries along the Belt and Road being 26.66 billion yuan, an increase of 11.5 percent. In addition, its exports of mechanical and electrical products were 15.7 billion yuan, an increase of 12.5 percent.
ASEAN is Guangxi's largest trading partner. In June, its trade with ASEAN accounted for 41.6 percent of its foreign trade import and export value. Since May, Guangxi's exports to ASEAN have rebounded significantly. In June, its exports to ASEAN totaled 14.87 billion yuan, up 22.6 percent year-on-year and 22.9 percent month-on-month.
This year, Nanning Customs proposed 28 detailed measures to support the high-level opening and high-quality development of Guangxi, as well as 21 detailed measures to promote the stabilization and improvement of foreign trade.
