An airport terminal station serving the Beijing Daxing International Airport in the capital's southern suburbs began operations on Saturday in neighboring Langfang, Hebei province, providing convenience for passengers departing from the city.
This is the fourth city-terminal — set up in cities rather than inside the airport — since the new airport opened in 2019.
The other three are in Caoqiao subway station in Beijing's Fengtai district, Langfang's Gu'an county and Zhuozhou city in Baoding, Hebei, according to a report by Langfang Radio and Television Station.
The city-terminal in Langfang can provide express services for check-in security screening, as well as buses to the airport. It also provides an interprovincial passenger checkpoint and a Beijing entry checkpoint, the report said.
In the future, the terminal will also provide services for passengers going to Beijing Capital International Airport, Tianjin Binhai International Airport and Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport in Hebei.
Located on Jinyuan Road in the Langfang Economic and Technological Development Zone, the terminal is close to some major expressways, including Beijing-Shanghai Expressway and Beijing-Tianjin Expressway.
