The China parallel forum of the Green Hydrogen Global Assembly was held on May 18 in Beijing's Daxing district. Government officials, experts, scholars, and industry leaders shared their ideas on the long-term development of green hydrogen in China.
The main event of the GHGA was co-hosted by the Green Hydrogen Organization (GH2) and the Spanish government, on May 17 to18 in Barcelona. Experts and business representatives shared views focusing on production of 100 million tons of green hydrogen by 2030 from an industrial perspective.
The Daxing International Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Zone, a strategic cooperation partner of GH2, hosted the parallel forum that hailed China as "a green hydrogen powerhouse" for its strides in developing clean hydrogen.
Participants discussed the development models and ideas of renewable energy and green hydrogen, calling for common understanding and attention to energy reform as well as greater efforts to achieve global sustainable development goals.
Gan Yong, member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Jiang Lijun, vice chairman of the China Renewable Energy Society, and other experts discussed green hydrogen technology, hydrogen energy storage and transportation, and comprehensive application of green hydrogen.
The Daxing hydrogen energy demonstration zone is located in the south of Beijing, adjacent to the Beijing Daxing International Airport and connected to the Xion'an New Area.
With an initial area of 360,000 square meters, the demonstration zone brings together 100 enterprises in the whole industry chain of hydrogen production, storage, transportation and application. It endeavors to take the lead and promote the development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei fuel cell demonstration city group.
