Nanjing University's Suzhou Campus unveils four schools in cutting-edge technology

The leadership group on the development of the Suzhou Campus of Nanjing University held a meeting in Suzhou New District on June 28 to review work progress over the past year and eye school-government cooperation in more areas, local media outlets reported.

The agreement to build the campus was inked by the prestigious Nanjing University and the Suzhou government in 2020.

A guidebook on attracting more high-caliber innovative talent to the Suzhou Campus of Nanjing University was published at the meeting. The Suzhou government also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Nanjing University on a Suzhou Sci-Tech Town Hospital and several industrial innovation clusters.

The campus' four new schools, which specialize in intelligent science and technology, intelligent software and engineering, integrated circuits, and digital economy and management, respectively, were unveiled the same day.

The first 500 undergraduate and 100 graduate students starting school this September will officially settle at the Suzhou Campus in 2023.

Construction on the academic exchange center, teaching buildings, and dormitories in the eastern part of the new campus will be completed before the end of the year, while construction on the student activity center in the west zone has already started and construction on the administrative office building and cultural and sports center will start within the year.
