Jiading to open 26-hectare forest wetland park

Suide Park, located in Jiangqiao town in Shanghai's Jiading district, is an outer ring green belt covering an area of over 26 hectares.
The reconstruction project of the park is in progress and the main part is scheduled to be completed by the end of September. The park is expected to be opened to the public by the end of this year.
Suide Park will be transformed into a forest wetland park that integrates aquatic woodland experiences and wetland ecological education, according the reconstruction plan.
One of the seven parks that Shanghai intends to construct on the ecological park belt surrounding the city by the end of this year is Suide Park. The seven parks total 276 hectares.
The 98-kilometer-long ecological park belt is a crucial component of Shanghai's "ecological city" construction's basic framework.
Shanghai will expand the ecological park belt by 36 parks during the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021–25) period.
