SAIC Roewe starts presales of 3rd-generation RX5, eRX5 SUV

SAIC Motor's Roewe started presales of its third-generation RX5 SUV and hybrid eRX5 SUV on Sunday.
Priced from 124,900 yuan to 165,900 yuan, the model is expected to deliver from August.
The hybrid eRX5 can run for up to 1,483 km, which is an industry-leading figure.
It can accelerate from zero to 100 km/hour in 6.9 seconds and its fuel consumption is 1.4 liters per 100 km.
Roewe said it received over 10,000 orders on the model within two hours of starting its presales.
The RX5 SUV sports a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, which has a fuel consumption of 6.0 liters per 100 km.
The RX5 and the eRX5 are important in Roewe's lineup. They are built on Everest architecture, which has cost SAIC 15 billion yuan.
The architecture, which SAIC has developed for global models, focuses on electrification and smart connection.
