July 14: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On July 13, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 121 new cases of confirmed infections (35 imported cases, 12 in Guangdong province, 7 in Fujian province, 6 in Shanghai municipality, 3 in Sichuan province, 2 in Chongqing municipality, 2 in Yunnan province, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Jiangsu province and 1 in Shaanxi province, including 3 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases in Guangdong province; 86 indigenous cases, 36 in Gansu province, 32 in Guangdong province, 5 in Shanghai municipality, 5 in Jiangxi province, 3 in Hainan province, 2 in Jiangsu province, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 1 in Henan province and 1 in Chongqing municipality, including 13 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 11 in Gansu province, 1 in Jiangsu province and 1 in Henan province), no deaths, and no new cases of suspected infections.

On July 13, 84 patients were released from hospital after being cured (26 imported cases; 58 indigenous cases, 46 in Anhui province, 6 in Shaanxi province, 4 in Jiangsu province, 1 in Beijing municipality and 1 in Sichuan province). 10,134 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases remained the same.

As of 24:00 on July 13, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 19,880 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 19,439 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 441 confirmed cases (no serious cases) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on July 13, the National Health Commission had received reports of 227,030 confirmed cases and 5,226 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 220,685 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 1,119 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 4,397,754 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 118,334 were still under medical observation.

On July 13, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 245 new asymptomatic cases (39 imported cases; 206 indigenous cases, 64 in Gansu province, 42 in Shanghai municipality, 29 in Henan province, 25 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 18 in Shandong province, 11 in Guangdong province, 8 in Jiangsu province, 4 in Jiangxi province, 3 in Hainan province, 1 in Fujian province and 1 in Sichuan province).

On July 13, 222 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (38 imported cases; 184 indigenous cases, 115 in Anhui province, 40 in Jiangsu province, 9 in Liaoning province, 8 in Shaanxi province, 6 in Guangdong province, 4 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 1 in Shanghai municipality and 1 in Shandong province). 16 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 3 imported cases). As of 24:00 on July 13, 3,214 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 379 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on July 13, 4,506,451 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 343,482 in Hong Kong (9,422 had died and 65,222 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 679 in Macao (4 had died and 163 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 4,162,290 in Taiwan (7,829 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
