Based on the widely acclaimed novel of the same name, the original ballet Ripples across Stagnant Water will take to the stage at the Fujian Grand Theater on July 27. The ballet mirrors the great social changes in Sichuan in around 1900.
The work is a production of the Chongqing Ballet of China and is supported by the China National Arts Fund.
