Jinpu New Area has utilized its existing professional markets to accommodate local trading companies and an industrial cluster has taken shape. There are 14 professional markets, including 11 trade fairs for major commodities, and 3 platforms for the online transaction of major commodities in Jinpu New Area. The scope of 11 trade fairs for major commodities covers automobiles, imported vehicle components, industrial products, goods transactions, coal, the sales of foods and edible oils, imported industrial parts, gold and jewelry, cosmetic products, steel products and non-governmental trade. The rest of the 14 professional markets are Dalian Oil Exchange, Dalian Free Trade Zone's Rice Exchange and Dalian Liquors Exchange.

Jinpu New Area has already become a commercial hub in Northeast Asia for major commodities such as oil, minerals, agricultural products, raw industrial materials, and industrial products.
