July 11: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On July 10, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 94 new cases of confirmed infections (48 imported cases, 11 in Shanghai municipality, 10 in Fujian province, 10 in Guangdong province, 7 in Sichuan province, 2 in Tianjin municipality, 2 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 2 in Liaoning province, 1 in Beijing municipality, 1 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Shandong province and 1 in Shaanxi province, including 8 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 2 in Tianjin municipality, 2 in Fujian province, 1 in Liaoning province, 1 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Guangdong province and 1 in Sichuan province; 46 indigenous cases, 17 in Guangdong province, 9 in Anhui province, 6 in Shanghai municipality, 4 in Jiangsu province, 2 in Hainan province, 2 in Gansu province, 1 in Beijing municipality, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 1 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Shandong province, 1 in Shaanxi province and 1 in Qinghai province, including 4 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 3 in Guangdong province and 1 in Jiangsu province), no deaths, and no new cases of suspected infections.

On July 10, 51 patients were released from hospital after being cured (25 imported cases; 26 indigenous cases, 17 in Anhui province, 4 in Jiangsu province, 2 in Shanghai municipality, 2 in Guangdong province and 1 in Shandong province). 3,918 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases remained the same.

As of 24:00 on July 10, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 19,766 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 19,346 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 420 confirmed cases (no serious cases) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on July 10, the National Health Commission had received reports of 226,704 confirmed cases and 5,226 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 220,431 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 1,047 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 4,348,361 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 89,022 were still under medical observation.

On July 10, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 335 new asymptomatic cases (29 imported cases; 306 indigenous cases, 79 in Shandong province, 63 in Shanghai municipality, 57 in Jiangsu province, 30 in Anhui province, 25 in Gansu province, 18 in Fujian province, 15 in Guangdong province, 12 in Henan province, 3 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 1 in Shanxi province, 1 in Jiangxi province, 1 in Hainan province and 1 in Shaanxi province).

On July 10, 105 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (29 imported cases; 76 indigenous cases, 51 in Anhui province, 9 in Jiangsu province, 5 in Jilin province, 3 in Liaoning province, 3 in Shandong province, 1 in Guangdong province, 1 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 1 in Sichuan province, 1 in Yunnan province and 1 in Shaanxi province). 12 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 8 imported cases). As of 24:00 on July 10, 3,094 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 382 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on July 10, 4,424,577 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 341,928 in Hong Kong (9,412 had died and 64,919 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 621 in Macao (2 had died and 112 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 4,082,028 in Taiwan (7,624 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
